Nehemiah 'Skip' James was born in 1902 in Bentonia, Mississippi.  Henry Stuckey taught Skip to play when he was in his early teens and he was then taught piano by an Arkansas performer called Will Crabtree.  James recorded seventeen sides for Paramount Records in 1931.  "I'm so Glad" was covered and became a hit by Cream shortly after his death in 1969.
