Blind Lemon Jefferson was born on September 24, 1893 and was one of the most popular blues singers and guitarists from Texas.  He has influenced such greats as B.B King, T-Bone Walker, Lightnin Hopkins and Robert Johnson and has been title "Father of the Texas Blues"'

He died December 1929 at the age of 36.
